It’s A New Day! Part 3

4.  Set Clear Goals/Objectives For Yourself and Team – Accountability is one of the keys to effective execution.  If you and your team do not know what they are accountable for then the team will not be successful; clear objectives creates the path for accountability.  Sit with your team to create goals/objectives for the upcoming year together.  The Moses mountain top experience where you come down from the mountain and share the goals may need to happen at times, but it is advised that most of the time you involve your team.  This will drive engagement and ownership within your team.

5.  Continue to Seek God – This process never stops.  Although you follow these above steps you will be setting the path to a great year, you have to continue to seek the Lord for direction if/when the direction changes.  God is the constant and not the variable; make sure He is also involved in your life and your leadership of others.

It is a new year and you should be excited with what God can and will do in your life this year, but make sure you have positioned yourself to receive God’s goodness.  His goodness pours more freely in your life when you are renewed and there is a newness in your spirit man.
